Clay tile is also a popular material for residential roofs. Clay is very stylish and will make your home to look more traditional. This is a perfect roofing material if you have a beach side home because clay can resist corrosion. Because of modern manufacturing technology, clay tiles today are more resistant to mildews and molds and are generally protected against thermal conduction and fire. Clay tile roofing is typically used in Western states in the U.S., suburban Europe, and some parts of East Asia.
Metal Residential Roofing Systems
For a completely modern look, the use of metal roofing is highly recommended. Metal roof is extremely durable, versatile and appropriate for almost all types of structures. Metal roofing materials are cheap and most builders can install them pretty quickly. You will be able to save time and money from metal roofs. There are still other types of residential roofing materials like hay, ceramic, or fiberglass. These materials however are commonly used for customized homes.
